Sooo... my story is long - but horses have always been there...

For as long as I can remember I have been drawn to horses. At every pasture where a horse stood, I had to stop and look and admire and dream.

Emigration to Iceland - to a country with a lot of horses.

Riding there a lot, learning, flying off the horse, getting back on, riding further...

Honza Blahas video popped up in my head, and then I knew: if this is possible, then I want to know how

Back to Iceland to apply what you have learned

Moving to Québec, Canada, my Icelandic horses are coming to Canada in the fall.
In June 2015 our 2 mares will have offspring, each with a filly.

In Québec I was “alone” with my horses. I didn't have anyone to ask when I didn't know what to do...
I've thought outside the box and read a lot of books by great horse people.

And so I also began to learn “differently”: now it was “just” my horses and me.
And often the horse and I ... and my horses became my greatest teachers - each one for himself.

They taught me to see the little signs, to see the first attempts when I wanted something from them...

They taught me to reflect: what did I want - how did I ask them - how did they answer - how should I ask to get what I wanted?
They taught me to respect and praise every little attempt on their part as much as possible... and from there everything went much faster and much more beautifully and harmoniously.

You taught me to be patient and to find joy in the smallest of things.

They taught me to take a step or many back so they can step forward and show what they can do...

They showed me that there is always something to learn, even if I think I already know sooo much - then a horse comes along and throws everything over the heap ... and I can learn something new again.

What I offer you:

This trail is for people who want to build a real relationship with their horses.
Who want to invest the time and patience to look at the small nuances that lead from misunderstanding to understanding and thus to a respectful relationship.

It is also for people who have a problem with their horse and almost do not know what to do next. I'm sure that we can find a solution for almost every problem.

  •     time: for himself and his horse

  •     time: to give the horse to understand

  •     time: for one step at a time, not all at once and immediately

  •     patience: with his horse- and himself

  •     patience: retained, even if something doesn't work immediately

I'll pick you up where you are with your horse.
I'll ask you where you want to take your horse... and then we'll go...
Every horse and every human is an individual, so every relationship is different.

I'll explain a lot to you, but I'll also ask you a lot so that you can figure things out yourself... that's the best way to learn...

With me there is no “pushing a button” or tricks and then the horse does what you want.
Real mutual communication is established, which ends in a real relationship.

I am happy to come to your home or farm and then we will start to establish the relationship between you and your horse.

I prefer to give private lessons because then I can focus my full attention on the respective horse-human pair, because details are so important!

(Another thing they taught me: how to trim their hooves myself. I've done it badly before, but in 2018 I found an absolutely great and simple method and I'm using it now. The horses' hooves are balanced and healthy and I am happy).
